Welcome to 刀の刃, my cel and sketch Gallery! I have been collecting since 1998. It took lots of patience and many years to get to where I am with my collection. I'm very happy with each piece I own and it was worth the wait and hunt. I also met some great people along the way. I would like to say thanks to Tara aka spinizuey for making me those awesome banners. Thank you!
My absolute favorite anime to collect from is Rurouni Kenshin. I am still searching for several cels from it, please check my wishlist. I do enjoy many other series, buying whatever catches my eye.
All characters represented on this page in graphical format belong to the companies which created them. Their companies hold the copyrights to their images. All images on this website have been personally scanned or photographed by me. Please do not take any images, text or anything else from my website without my written permission.
All Artwork in this Gallery are Original Production cels or Sketches that have been used in the animation with the exception of a few. Since newer anime are CG, you will see in my Gallery Official Licensed Rilezu and Reproduction cels. Not all newer anime that are CG have Rilezu or Reproduction cels.
A Rilezu is a copyright cel made by either the original studio or a separate company that has the copyright license to produce the Rilezu. Usually a Rilezu does not come with an original production douga that had been used in the making of the anime, depends on the studio. because of that one of three cases concerning douga will occur.
1) no douga is included.
2) a newly made douga known as a "Clean Up Douga" (one that has been produced to make the Rilezu itself) is included.
3) the original douga included. Since it is hard to tell which is real and which is not. The best way to find out is to contact the person/dealer that is selling for the studio itself. It can become confusing if not asked the right way, always make sure you include both terms of "production" (is the douga an original production douga made to produce the Anime or is the douga a production douga made to produce the Rilezu).
A Reproduction cel is an officially released cel made by the Studio itself. The same image can range from 3 to 50 cels of same image, rarely more, depends on the anime and studio

Since I received a few presents/gifts over the years I added this mark * behind the text of those items (cels/sketches). For instance like this "Golden Boy - ゴールデンボーイ / Ōe Kintarō * " The mark of the * is at the end of the text. I want to say a thank you to the people that have given me such great presents. You all know who you are! *hugs*
The ones with ** behind them were freebies that some sellers added. Thank you to the people (you know who you are) that gave me such beauties! ^_^
